Lime Green Curtains

Cool beachy blues and crisp whites mix well in a room with lime green curtains to offer fresh, seaside appeal. Substitute a turquoise hue in lieu of the beachy blues for a tropical island vibe. Tone down the vibrant green with earthy shades of brown and gray for a more natural feel. Add a surge of vibrant color with citrus yellows and oranges for eye-popping appeal. Keep the walls a light neutral color — gray, white, beige — to contrast nicely with the lime green curtains while maintaining an open, airy ambiance.

Layer your lime green curtains with other window treatments to create added function with aesthetic appeal. For example, natural window shades made from woven grasses, reeds, bamboo or wood deliver textural color and contrast against lime-colored curtains. Install these earthy window shades behind the curtains for added privacy when you want it. Hang white wooden blinds with 2-inch slats rather than natural shades to gain more control over the direction and amount of natural light entering a room.

I was very disappointed in these curtains. They do not block light. Sure, as a curtain they will darken a room a bit but I have regular curtains in my other rooms that do a better job at darkening a room. I'm surprised there are so many positive reviews on this product. Just because other people are ok with the amount of light these filter does not make them an effective black out curtain. If your looking for a black out curtain or something that is remotely close to a black out curtain, then do not buy this product. I have included a couple of photos to illustrate the effectiveness of these curtains. One photo is a standard curtain and the other is the product being reviewed. (If you can't tell, the green curtain is the black out curtain). I know it is hard to tell in the photo but the red standard curtain is better at blocking the light. Obviously some of the light in the rooms is the light that is escaping around the edges of the blackout curtain but it is clear that the curtain itself is allowing a lot of light through.

Choose furniture to accommodate the activities in a room, as well as those pieces that comfortably fit the available floor space. They should also enhance the feel-good mood of a room with lime green curtains. White wooden furniture provides a fresh, upbeat feel, while wicker pieces suggest tropical island charm. Furnish your space with wooden furniture finished in rich brown tones for earthy aesthetics with upscale appeal. Bright-colored pieces painted in hot pink, electric orange or sunny yellow add a color surprise to any space.

Refer to your chosen color scheme to sprinkle those hues throughout your space with decorative accessories. Incorporate white accents to freshen and balance bright hues. For example, a snowy white comforter topped with citrus-colored toss pillows creates a pristine, breezy aura. Shiny silver lamp bases crowned with white linen shades provides illumination with a modern flair. A crystal chandelier adds sparkly, ambient light to any space. You can continue a room’s happy mood after the sun goes down by illuminating your lime green curtains with targeted track lighting to bring their bright colors back to life. Crystal candlesticks, woven trays, handmade pottery, glowing candles and fresh foliage add a variety of textures for creating a well-designed space.

Okay, so I have two little munchkins (toddlers) who like to wake up extremely early like they have jobs to get ready for and I don't wanna get up that early on my day off, y'all! Lol. My mom was telling me about these curtains and I figured I would give them a try! Easy to install and the kept the room darkkkkk! It wasn't dark as in nighttime dark but it was much darker compared to when they weren't up. You can see some light peeking through because it blocks some of the light just not all. All and all, I am satisfied. I will take some darkness vs. all that sunlight. P.s. My munchkins did sleep a little longer andddd the curtains makes nap time much easier. “Mommy, it's not dark outside. Not time for a nap.” Pull those curtains down. “Yes, it is!” And they are out in minutes compared to talking to each other the wholeeee time. As a mom, you gotta do what you got to!
